Advanced Literature Search In-Person Workshop for NHS Staff (St George's Library)

Who is this for?
Aimed at all NHS staff (doctors, nurses, midwives, AHPs, scientific and technical, etc) who work at or affiliated with St. George’s Trust who are conducting a complex literature review or systematic review.

Requirement:
You would need to already have the basic knowledge in designing search strategy, and have experience using NHS Knowledge & Library Hub, BMJ Best Practice, UpToDate, Trip, MAG Online Library,
etc. If you don’t, please attend the Searching for evidence-based literature training  first.

Contents:

  • Quick recap of planning and designing an effective search strategy
  • Know the difference between literature review vs systematic review
  • Searching advanced medical databases e.g. MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, COCHRANE, etc,
  • Locating, accessing or requesting full text articles from the library services
