Lunch and Learn Online: Finding articles for non-clinical topics for NHS staff

Who is this for?

Open to all NHS Trust staff that work at or affiliated with St George’s Trust - who require support in finding journal articles, books or e-books in non-clinical topics (e.g. leadership, management, coaching, mentoring, project management, well-being, etc.)

Aims: 

  • To help you access high-quality resources to quickly support your work in service improvement, writing assignment for CPD or to support your well-being.
  • To help build an effective search strategy (using phrasing, truncation and keywords) to find relevant literatures,

Resources covered:

  • HUNTER Library Catalogue (print/online books)
  • NHS Knowledge & Library Hub (All-in one platform to search for articles, books or databases)
  • Health Business Elite (covers health care management and other, non-clinical topics)
  • BrowZine Journal 
  • Kortex ebooks 
  • HMIC Databases - includes official publications, health service policy, management, NHS organisation and administration, the quality of health services (including hospitals, nursing, primary care and public health), occupational health, control and regulation of medicines, social care, etc.
  • Access to thousands of City St. George’s online resources.
