SUMMARY:Searching Evidence-Based Literature Online Workshop for NHS Doctors
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nWho is it for?\n\nAimed at all physician 
 associates\, doctors (all levels) and consultants working at\, or 
 affiliated with St George’s Trust who want to find evidence-based 
 literature for their work and CPD.\n\nWhat does it cover?\n\nIn this 
 session\, your NHS Librarian will guide you through the NHS Knowledge and 
 Library Hub and other essential online resources (see below).\n\nThe 
 workshop will include:\n\n\n	Planning and designing an effective search 
 strategy\n\n\n\n	Effective use of search techniques e.g. phrase searching\, 
 truncation \n\n\n\n	Finding healthcare literature using the NHS Knowledge 
 and Library Hub platform\n\n\n\n	Identifying specialist resources e.g. BMJ 
 Best Practice (clinical decision tool)\, TRIP database\, BrowZine 
 Journals\, Oxford Medicine Online\, Kortext\, etc.)\n\n\n\n	Subscription to 
 BMJ Case Reports\n\n\n\n	Locating\, accessing or requesting full text 
 articles from Library Services \n\n\n\n	Libkey Nomad\n\n\n\n	Quick quiz 
 (time permitting)\n\n\nYou'll learn how to navigate these tools efficiently 
 and use them to find high quality evidence-based articles\, ebooks\, 
 databases\, guidelines etc to support your work in patient care\, service 
 improvements\, teaching\, clinical audit or CPD. \n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: An 
 OpenAthens login will be necessary to access these resources. To register

 registering at least two days prior to the workshop.\n\n\n\n \n\n
